Robert Lewandowski is entering the final year of his contract with FC Barcelona and his future remains uncertain. Less influential at the start of the season than during his first years in Catalonia, the Polish striker, who arrived in the summer of 2022, has nevertheless been decisive in the two La Liga titles won since, in addition to posting an excellent record of 105 goals and 20 assists in 156 games played. His agent, Pini Zahavi, gave an update on his situation in an interview with 365Scores . "Lewandowski's contract with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2026 and no decision has been made yet. We have to wait and see what happens in the coming days ," he said before denying: "There is nothing official regarding negotiations with teams in Saudi Arabia. There are no offers at the moment."
Although he is still happy at Barcelona, the 37-year-old striker knows this is likely his last major contract. Interest from Saudi Arabian clubs remains strong, but the decision will also depend on his importance in Hansi Flick's plans between now and the end of the season. Interviewed in Poland by TVP Sport during the break, Lewandowski downplayed criticism of his age: "When someone wants to point out a flaw in me, they say I'm old, that I don't run anymore, that I don't want to run, or that I don't work. It's absurd. Just look at how much I've run. Of course, I'm aware that at my age, playing less could be beneficial to me over the course of the season."
