But in an interview with the club's media outlet, the new Anfield Road striker spoke about his express transfer to the Premier League . "Things are moving quickly. I signed my contract and came straight here. It was a long flight, yes, but I was really looking forward to coming and meeting everyone. It was quick, but I enjoyed every moment. I live day by day, so I enjoy every moment I'm here. I'm just delighted. I'm very proud. It's obviously a very big club. I dreamed of coming to play in the Premier League ," he first told the club's website .

Before explaining that it was the right time to leave Eintracht Frankfurt and the Bundesliga. "I came to the Bundesliga with the desire to show that I am a good player and that I can make a difference on the pitch. I think I played well last season. Now I feel ready to take the next step and play at the highest level, improve and see what I am capable of. That's why I think it's the right time for me and the perfect time to come here ," says the ex-Parisian.
Finally, the 23-year-old striker assures that a discussion with Arne Slot was decisive for his choice. "The coach is obviously very human, so we were able to talk not only about football, but about everything. I find him very interesting and I was delighted to see what I could do with him, because I think he is a really nice person and that I can still improve with him. So, yes, he is a very good coach and above all a good person, that's why he made me want to come here ." And while the arrival of Alexander Isak is in the pipeline , Hugo Ekitike will have to prove himself and impose himself within a well-stocked squad.
