The Champions League final is still on the minds of Inter, but also of those who are probing them. Interviewed by The Athletic, French striker Marcus Thuram was asked to reflect on the heavy 5-0 defeat inflicted by PSG . After Acerbi and Barella, Thuram acknowledged the superiority of his opponent.
"What happened, everyone saw it: we faced a great team, the best in the world. Nothing was working for us that day. Everything was working for them. And we saw the result: five to nil. That result perfectly sums up how the match unfolded ," he conceded lucidly. But he promises to come back to it one day. "We were simply sad to lose the final, to lose it in that way and to miss a golden opportunity that could have added a great line to our careers... We still have many seasons left. I still have many to do at Inter. It wasn't the last chance. It was a missed opportunity."
