“I’ve developed a great scouting system. It’s based on a simple principle: I always have lists of nine players per position at three different price points. (…) For example, you have a budget of €40 million to recruit four players. If you spend €20 million on the position where you need it most, you only have €20 million left to do the rest of your transfer business.
