U20 World Cup: Argentina beats Nigeria, Colombia beats South Africa

This Wednesday evening, several U20 teams were on deck during the World Cup currently taking place in Chile. In Santiago, Argentina, who finished undefeated in Group D, faced Nigeria (third in their group, editor's note) in the round of 16 of the tournament. And the South American team lived up to their expectations, winning 4-0, thus qualifying for the next round. Alejo Sarco opened the scoring in the second minute, before Maher Carrizo scored twice (23rd, 53rd). Mateo Silvetti finished off his opponents with a final goal in the 66th minute.

Meanwhile, in Talca, Colombia, top of their group, faced South Africa, who finished second in Group E just ahead of France. The Colombians took the lead in the 7th minute thanks to Morales (1-0). But the South Africans equalized in the 51st minute on a penalty thanks to Vilakazi. But Colombia ultimately won thanks to a brace from Villarreal (63rd, 90th+6). A 3-1 victory that gives the Colombians a place in the quarter-finals.
