Sandro Tonali will be a tough sell on Tyneside. Signed by Newcastle in 2023 for €59 million, the 25-year-old Italian midfielder has become a key player for the Magi again after serving his lengthy 10-month ban for his sports betting scandal. According to The Athletic , the former AC Milan player signed a secret contract extension during his suspension.

Reportedly in the sights of Juventus or Paris Saint-Germain, Tonali appeared to be tied to the Toons until June 2028. However, the English-language media outlet claims that the player offered his club a salary reduction during his suspension. Newcastle accepted, but took the opportunity to secretly extend his contract until 2029. And that's not all, since the Magi can activate another additional year. If they wish, Sandro Tonali can therefore belong to them until June 2030.
