Hansi Flick will miss the Clásico after the RFEF's Disciplinary Committee confirmed his one-match suspension. Sent off last Saturday at Montjuïc for receiving a double yellow card, the German coach will not be able to lead Barcelona in the clash against Real Madrid . The first booking was issued for ironically applauding a decision by referee Jesús Gil Manzano in the 90th minute, followed immediately by a second for a gesture of disapproval. The club's appeal was rejected, with the committee ruling that the footage provided did not invalidate the referee's report, which was deemed prescribed by Article 27 of the Disciplinary Code, according to the Spanish federation's statement.

The committee did not, however, sanction Flick for his appearance outside the dressing room after his sending-off, a situation that is normally prohibited, nor for his gesture after Araujo's goal, as these points were not mentioned in the official report. Hansi Flick will thus be able to return to the bench for the next home match against Elche on November 2, leaving the Clásico without his presence on the pitch.
