AS Monaco in the midst of a difficult search for its future coach

AS Monaco's latest results have taken their toll on Adi Hütter . The coach is on an ejection seat already initiated after ASM's last two matches. The Asémistes were defeated in Lorient (3-1) before drawing at home in the derby against Nice (2-2), while the Aiglons played with ten against eleven for an hour. The princely club occupies a disappointing 5th place after 7 matches .

The Austrian also made the mistake of seeing his team lose at the Moustoir in front of Dimitri Rybolovlev. It was too much for the club's Russian owner, who pressed the button. While waiting for a successor, Hütter continues his mission, but he knows he's doomed. He even led today's training session this Tuesday, and for good reason.

Terzic refused the position

Management has still not found anyone to take over. According to L'Equipe , Edin Terzic, the favorite , has turned down the job. The man who led Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final in 2024 has not responded. The prospecting continues but is becoming more complicated. Contacts have reportedly been made with the entourage of Thiago Motta , who has been free since leaving Juventus last spring.

The former PSG midfielder has not been contacted directly, according to the sports daily, but he is indeed on a shortlist. He's not the only one, of course, since Sergio Conceiçao's name has been checked. The Portuguese is free, having left AC Milan last May after a lackluster spell lasting a few months. Finally, Sébastien Pocognoli 's (Union Saint-Gilloise) CV is of interest, but he is under contract for another nine months. The Belgian had still not been contacted directly as of Tuesday. As you can see, Hütter is still in his position for the moment... for lack of anything better.
