The downsizing continues at Chelsea in the last few transfer windows. After Christopher Nkunku left for AC Milan, Aaron Anselmino was loaned to Borussia Dortmund and Carney Chukwuemek was sold to BvB, and while others like Axel Disasi (Monaco?) are about to leave the club, Nicolas Jackson is heading to Bayern Munich . It's the end of a long saga that lasted a few weeks but which benefits everyone.
Blocked by new recruits who arrived this summer like Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Estevao, the Senegalese could fear the worst for his playing time, especially since his performances during the Club World Cup did not reassure Enzo Maresca either. The striker followed this with a sluggish second half of last season, after having shone between August and January last year (13 goals and 6 assists in 37 matches in all competitions).
Jackson loaned with option to buy
He needed to get back on track, and he's trying his luck at Bayern Munich. " Bayern Munich has signed Nicolas Jackson on loan from Chelsea. FC Bayern has signed Nicolas Jackson on loan from FIFA Club World Cup winners Chelsea. The 24-year-old Senegalese international will spend the 2025/26 season in Munich and will wear the number 11 ," the German club's statement said. Jackson is on loan for €15 million and also has a non-binding purchase option of €80 million.

The Rekormeister has finally found the right fit. Since the start of the transfer window, he's been looking for a winger and an additional striker after the numerous departures during the offseason (Müller, Coman, Sané, Tel). While the winger position has been partially resolved with the transfer of Luis Diaz from Liverpool, Jackson has joined the attacking ranks. He'll still have to fight to carve out a place in a squad where Kane, Olise, Gnabry, and the Colombian recruit are all stalwarts.
