The imbroglio between FC Barcelona and Marc-André ter Stegen seems to have come to an end. In a long internal war, the 33-year-old German goalkeeper and the Blaugrana club were no longer able to get along, especially after the German goalkeeper's new injury shortly before the summer. Barça had suspected him of having aggravated this injury to avoid a transfer this summer, especially since it prevented the Blaugranas from registering their latest signing, Joan Garcia, with La Liga . And things have gotten worse, since FC Barcelona announced that they will remove Ter Stegen's captain's armband for the coming season.
But this Friday, the German international broke his silence and wanted to clarify things , explaining that he wanted to reconnect with his club. It seems to have worked, since FC Barcelona responded with a statement and announced that "the player Marc-André ter Stegen has signed the necessary authorization for the Club to transmit to La Liga the medical report relating to his operation. The disciplinary case has been closed and the player is once again captain of the first team with immediate effect ." Things seem to have returned to normal.
