Stuttgart rejects Bayern Munich's offer for Nick Woltemade

VfB Stuttgart has rejected an initial offer from Bayern Munich for Nick Woltemade , estimated at €40 million plus €5 million in bonuses, according to Sky Sport . The Bavarian team had proposed a payment in four installments, a structure deemed too insufficient by Stuttgart's management . Present in Möglingen for the town's 750th anniversary, VfB president Alexander Wehrle reaffirmed his desire to keep the 23-year-old striker in his ranks: "We are not giving him away. He will continue to play football with us next season." A strong statement, which could however change if Bayern decides to increase its offer.

Indeed, one door remains ajar: Wehrle has hinted that a departure would only be possible if Bayern come up with a truly extraordinary offer. Signed on a free transfer last summer from Werder Bremen, Woltemade quickly established himself as an important part of the project, scoring 17 goals in 33 games for the German Cup winners. The 1.98m player also scored 6 goals at the U21 Euro. His contract runs until 2028, and VfB Stuttgart is now hoping for an increased offer to consider opening negotiations. The player, for his part, has not yet expressed his wishes for the future. To be continued.
