Having trained at Real Madrid between 2017 and 2020 before moving to Manchester United, the Spanish left-back has spent several loan spells, including at Preston North End, Granada, and Benfica in January 2024. Retained by the Aguias for €6 million in the summer of 2024, he has now been sold to the Merengues for €60 million.
Alvaro Carreras returns home
Decisive this season with Benfica thanks to his relentless activity, the Spanish U21 international has 49 appearances for the Portuguese club, scoring four goals and assisting five times.
