Less than a week after the tragic deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva on a Spanish motorway, the initial findings of the investigation are beginning to emerge in the media. As a reminder, the two men were killed after a tire on their car exploded while attempting to overtake another driver. The Liverpool player's car then crashed into the guardrail and burst into flames.

AFP and AS jointly state that the Guardia Civil report indicates that the cause of the fatal accident was most likely "excessive speed" on a section of road limited to 120 km/h. Finally, the report states that the driver of the damaged vehicle was most likely Diogo Jota.
