OL: the ultras' incendiary statement against John Textor

The news shocked the football world, both in France and internationally. While waiting to see if Olympique Lyonnais' appeal bears fruit, the club from the capital of Gaul has been administratively relegated to Ligue 2. The Lyon 1950 ultras group has just published a press release, notably demanding the departure of John Textor.

The DNCG's axe fell last night.

Our members knew that we had chosen patience (once again) and given the benefit of the doubt after many promises, until the decision of the body.

This position was motivated by only two arguments: the best interests of our club and maintaining the most peaceful climate possible around OL!

Today, it is clear that the already limited credit we gave to the owner was ultimately worthless!

Are we surprised? The answer is unfortunately no.

From now on, because only the near future matters to all those who have been suffering since Tuesday evening, we have only one expectation: that this owner, by some unknown miracle, can save our Olympique Lyonnais and its employees from the disaster to which he has greatly contributed and then leave for other faraway lands!

The owner must respect this club, its identity, its values.

The only way for him to do so is to leave.

Also, and because we cannot remain inactive, we call on the people of Lyon to gather this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in front of the OL store in Décines in the presence of all the teams.

We will not let the club of our lives sink!

Lyon 1950
