Newcastle prepares a triple coup worth €146 million

On May 31st, Paris Saint-Germain won their first Champions League. In a few weeks, the capital club will put their title back on the line. A title that Newcastle would like to win this 2025-26 season. Having qualified, the Magpies intend to make adjustments here and there in order to build a team capable of competing against the best teams on the Old Continent, while fighting for the top spots in the Premier League .

To satisfy Eddie Howe, the Toons will be breaking the bank during this summer transfer window. This Thursday, the Telegraph revealed that the St James Park residents are preparing a triple swoop of €146 million! This is the total amount of the combined offers for the three players that the Magpies like, namely João Pedro, James Trafford and Anthony Elanga .

The Magpies want reinforcements

Three players are very interested in playing under Eddie Howe and joining Newcastle this offseason. But the offers made by the Toons have yet to meet the expectations of the clubs of the players they are courting. Regarding João Pedro, his name has recently been mentioned by Arsenal and Chelsea. But the Brighton striker could be heading to Newcastle, who have offered around €58 million. But Brighton is expecting more money. The same goes for Anthony Elanga, for whom the English team offered the same sum (€58 million).

Nottingham Forest have said and set their price at around €70 million. An amount deemed excessive by Newcastle. Finally, the Magpies will also have to revise their offer for James Trafford. His club, Burnley, wants to receive at least €35 million. For the moment, Newcastle has not put up more than €30 million. But the club plans to offer bonuses to raise the price. While the Toons are expected to increase their offers, they are already reassured since the salary demands of the three players are in line with what they want to offer them. Ideally, Eddie Howe would like at least two of them to be present when training resumes on July 7.
