The Club World Cup continued this Thursday evening with the third and final matchday of Group G. Already qualified for the round of 16 of the competition, Manchester City and Juventus Turin were battling for first place in the group. Leading at kickoff - thanks to a better attack (9 goals scored against only 8 for the Citizens) - the Turin club therefore needed to avoid defeat and presented itself in a 3-4-3 formation with an attacking trio composed of Gonzalez, Vlahovic and Koopmeiners. Opposite, Pep Guardiola opted for a 4-2-3-1 with Doku, Savinho and Marmoush. Cherki and Haaland started on the bench.
A clash at the top that didn't take long to settle down. Served on the left side, in the box, Doku perfectly eliminated his opponent with a hook before curling his attempt perfectly (0-1, 9th). Ideally launched, the Mancunians were however going to be surprised in the process when Teun Koopmeiners brought the two teams back on level terms (1-1, 11th). Surprised, Bernardo Silva's teammates nevertheless went back on the attack and took advantage of a terrible error from Pierre Kalulu to regain the advantage (1-2, 26th). On an innocuous cross, the Turin defender propelled the ball into his own net...
City treat!
Leading at halftime, Manchester City would pull away a little further after the break. Coming on for Marmoush, Haaland allowed his team to take the lead just before the hour mark (1-3, 52nd). An attacking spectacle that would continue after Foden's appearance on the pitch. Substituting for Doku, the Englishman found another gap to allow City to take flight (1-4, 69th). And the recital didn't end there... Dominating, the Skyblues delighted a little more with a beautiful inspiration from Savinho (1-5, 76th).

In the final quarter of an hour, Juve reduced the score thanks to Vlahovic (2-5, 84th) but Manchester City secured their third win in as many matches. With this new victory (5-2), Manchester City, already qualified, will therefore face Real Madrid, Salzburg or Al-Hilal in the round of 16. In the other match of the evening, Wydad Athletic Club Casablanca, already eliminated, was beaten by Al-Aïn (1-2). Despite Cassius Mailula opening the score (4th), Vladimir Ivic's men ultimately changed the course of this match thanks to Kodjo Laba (45+1st) and Kaku Romero (50th).
