Having qualified for the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, Bayern Munich - who are preparing to challenge Paris Saint-Germain - are also setting the summer transfer window ablaze. In recent hours, the Bavarian elite have decided to shift gears to secure Euro Under-21 sensation Nick Woltemade. But that's not all.
As reported by Sky Sports Germany , this Monday, the German champion also has another offensive target in its sights. A file that is not linked to that of Woltemade. Indeed, the Munich team has decided to set its sights on a certain Luis DÃaz , currently under contract until June 2027 with Liverpool. While no negotiations have yet begun with the Reds, the 28-year-old Colombian is indeed on the Bavarian giant's shortlist.
Barça is still on the case
The German media outlet also states that the 1.80m right-hander could indeed leave the Merseyside club if a satisfactory offer is made. As a reminder, according to the specialist website Transfermarkt, the Colombian international (63 caps, 18 goals) is currently valued at €70 million (Liverpool is asking for around €80 million). A substantial amount that should not, however, dampen the Rekordmeister board, determined to acquire an XXL attacking line to return to the top of Europe.
Beware, however, because Bayern Munich is likely to face some serious competition in this case, especially from Barça. Luis DÃaz, who has been Deco's priority for several months, seems visibly ready to answer the Catalan call. On Instagram , the Colombian had started following the Blaugrana club as well as several figures linked to Barça, such as Raphinha and Lionel Messi. Bayern has been warned and will now have to find the right words to win the prize.
