A new European giant enters the race for Hugo Ekitike

Where will Hugo Ekitike play next season? It's hard to say for now, but one thing is certain: the striker, who has played for Stade de Reims and Paris Saint-Germain, has no shortage of suitors. We recently revealed that Manchester United had decided to accelerate talks to land the Eintracht Frankfurt striker . But that's not all.

In addition to the Red Devils' interest, Liverpool and Chelsea also remain in the starting blocks. Looking for an attacking reinforcement, the three English heavyweights have understandably appreciated the recent performances of the 1.90m right-footer. Author of 22 goals (15 in the Bundesliga, 3 in the German Cup, 4 in the Europa League) and 12 assists in 48 matches in all competitions, the 23-year-old center forward is coming off another XXL season.

Arsenal attacks Ekitike

A performance that ultimately prompted a new contender to enter the race. This Sunday, BILD reported that Arsenal have joined their English neighbors in an attempt to sign Frankfurt's number 11, while the leads leading to Viktor Gyökeres (27) and Benjamin Sesko (22) are not moving forward. Seduced by the former Parisian's profile, the Gunners have reportedly decided to make him a serious prospect.

It remains to be seen which team will manage to get their hands on the player, whose contract runs until June 2029. Valued at €75 million by specialist website Transfermarkt, Hugo Ekitike - if he were to leave the Bundesliga - would have to leave for a higher amount. For its part, Frankfurt has already targeted two successors in Franjo Ivanovic (21, Union Saint-Gilloise) and Jonathan Burkardt (24, Mainz 05).
