The ranking of top European goalscorers

This Monday marks the ninth update of the season for the top European goalscorers . Following the international break, we revisit the goalscorers who found the net in Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, and Turkey. There's been some movement at the top of the rankings, with Harry Kane reclaiming the lead thanks to his goal in Bayern Munich's resounding 6-2 victory against Freiburg this past weekend. The English striker now boasts 14 goals in 11 matches.

Behind the Englishman, Erling Haaland has fallen behind after failing to score in Manchester City's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle and remains on a run of 14 goals in 12 matches. Just outside the top three, Kylian Mbappé is still trailing the sensation Ayase Ueda . The Japanese striker has 13 goals in 13 matches and is keeping pace with the Real Madrid forward, but the Feyenoord Rotterdam striker edged him out by a hair thanks to a better ratio of goals to playing time, by just 67 minutes.

Ueda still on the podium, Greenwood in the top five

Mason Greenwood has moved into the top five thanks to his brace in Olympique de Marseille's resounding 6-1 victory in Nice, bringing his season total to 10 goals in 12 matches. He overtakes Lokomotiv Moscow's number 83, Aleksey Batrakov , who failed to score in the draw against Krasnodar this weekend and remains on 10 goals in 15 appearances. Behind them, Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi takes seventh place after scoring his 11th goal against Atromitos. He moves ahead of Vangelis Pavlidis , who scored this weekend in the Portuguese Cup, not the league, and remains on 9 goals.

In ninth place, Brentford striker Igor Thiago returns to the rankings thanks to his penalty in the defeat away to Brighton. Young Boys Bern forward Chris Bédia enters the top 10 with his ninth goal against Winterthur in this weekend's 5-0 victory. With more playing time, he surpasses Guus Till (PSV) and Strasbourg's Joaquín Panichelli, who has yet to score in three Ligue 1 matches . Christian Fassnacht (Young Boys Bern) and Mirlind Daku (Rubin Kazan) also have nine goals each, outperforming Pedro Gonçalves (Sporting), Esteban Lepaul (Stade Rennais), Ismael Saibari (PSV), Jonathan Burkardt (Eintracht Frankfurt), and Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona), who have eight.
